Zombie movies are a creation from war and terroist attacks throughout history. The short story demonstrates specific details from 9/11, Pearl harbor, and other such wars that lead to the movies of death. Graphic novels such as, "Walking Dead" was a mainstream of American history. Zombies are a great creation throughout time. America has led the movie charts with unstoppable Zombie movies like, "Death Valley", "White Zombie", "The Living Dead", "The Last Man on Earth", and much more. The frequency of zombie movies increased tremendously througout the years. In the Reneassiance times was the peak of the zombie movies. Dawn of Dead was one of the biggest hits, grossing $55 million worldwide. After those films came out, viewers demanded more comical zombie movies such as, "I Was a Teenage Zombie", "Zombie Brigade", "Redneck Zombies", and "The Return of the Living Dead." Then they started coming out with video games that involved zombies and they immediately became popular by players that wanted to be included in the action. The game that became popular right away was called "Land of the Dead." This game became so popular because the player would be able to control the zombies to whatever they wanted to do with them. Zombies seem to be a worldwide topic that many are interested in. There are many books about zombies such as "The Living Dead", The Walking Dead", "Zombie Survival Guide", and many more. I believe the the novels came out before the movies and because they were such a hit, they decided to make films on them to see if they got the same attention as the books did.
In conclusion, zombies are the hit topic of the century. They attract viewers from all around America. Historical events have led the impact of zombie movies to its finest. "The Walking Dead" was the biggest hit of all zombie movies. After all it led the charts still to this day. Zombie movies will keep being produced as more historical events happen and are discovered. As long as viewers keep enjoying comical death movies about monsters, more directors will produce them.
I really enjoyed reading your summary of the article. I liked how you formatted it and the way to put it all together to sum things up in little words. Your conclusion was very good also, i wish i would've just read this first before reading the whole article. Nice job!

Hello Amelia,
ReplyDeleteAn excellent post!l
I have never been one for zombie movies as they usually scare me to death (no pun intended). I would recommend only that a picture and link be included ( I already had to correct mine several times to get it all on there correctly!) you are completely right about the lucrativeness of zombies. In you own words, "As long as viewers keep enjoying comical death movies about monsters, more directors will produce them." It could not be any more true. Keep up the good work!
Great post! I have always been terrified of zombies and even reading that article freaked me out! I also wanted to say I noticed you didn't have a link or a visual but your article was great! I have never seen any of those movies but now I want to see them! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your take on the zombie article! You did a great job of bringing in today's culture of zombies and how things are different than they were in earlier history. You used great examples and your use of words was excellent! Fantastic job!
ReplyDeleteZombies are not a creation from war and terrorist attacks. The fears represented in zombie narrative are the fears society has as a result of terrorist attacks or war. The article does a good job of explaining how zombies have evolved as the American society has changed together with the genre. Good summary of the article though.
